Veterinary Surgeon Norwich

We have an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian to become a part of a great practice located in Thorpe St. Andrew, Norwich.

The veterinary surgeons are the forefront of delivering exceptional care, from routine health checks to advanced surgeries. Your role will involve direct interaction with patients and clients, offering customized care while supporting lead vets or branch partners in delivering outstanding service.

Position Details:

  • Permanent, full-time role (39 hours per week over four days), with flexibility options.
  • Competitive salary package up to £55,000 PA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diverse surgical procedures.
  • Ensure thorough pre and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop treatment plans.
  • Utilize diagnostic laboratory and imaging tools.
  • Prescribe medications and promote preventative care.
  • Educate clients on pet care and lifestyle choices.
  • Provide guidance to support team members.
  • Maintain compliance with veterinary ethics and regulations.
  • Manage patient medical records.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
  • Knowledge of anaesthesia protocols and pain management.
  • Effective communication and client interaction skills.
  • Ethical practice adherence and critical thinking ability.

Practice Details:

Thorpe St Andrew lies immediately to the east of the City of Norwich. The practice is led by an experienced branch partner, consists of a team of three vets supported by nursing staff and assistants, providing a collaborative and supportive environment.
