Veterinary Surgeon – Lyneham

The Opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a dedicated team in Lyneham. This part-time role is ideal for someone seeking a balanced work schedule, offering three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday) from 9 am to 5 pm, with a 1:3 Saturday rotation at our nearby Calne clinic. Emergency out-of-hours care is managed by a neighboring hospital.

Role Details:

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Lyneham practice, you will engage in both consulting and operating, focusing on building strong relationships with clients and their pets. You will have ample opportunities to contribute to the development and growth of the practice.

Location and Facilities:

The Lyneham practice is a newly built, modern facility that is light, spacious, and equipped with a large consulting room, a separate operating theatre, an X-ray room, and a dental X-ray. The practice also features convenient parking for both staff and clients. Located in a picturesque village, Lyneham is just a 12-minute drive from Calne and 4 miles from Royal Wootton Bassett.

Remuneration:

£50,000 to £55,000 per year

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
  • Provide outstanding client care with clear patient updates
  • Uphold professional excellence and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare tailored treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates
  • Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills
  • Ensure smooth clinical handovers and arrange for out-of-hours care as needed
  • Promote and share clinical best practices within the practice and beyond

Your Skills and Experience:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality patient and client care
  • Effective team player with strong clinical leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a progressive clinical culture
  • Experienced in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve their best
