We boast a spacious waiting room, consult rooms, separate dog kennels, a cattery, and an exotic ward with a diverse array of cases, including birds, primates, reptiles, and snakes.

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for learning new skills and managing a wide variety of cases to join this dynamic team!

The aim at Exeter Cranbrook and Polsloe practice is to provide accessible, comprehensive, and high-quality veterinary care. This friendly clinic comprises a supportive team of Vets, RVNs, SVNs, and Patient Care Assistants.

Situated in Exeter, the gateway to Devon and Cornwall, the practice enjoys a convenient location just 5 minutes from the M5 and A30, providing easy access to Devon, Cornwall, Bristol, beaches, moors, and more.

Role Accountabilities

  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures.
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-operative assessments.
  • Develop treatment plans and provide clients with care instructions.
  • Utilize diagnostic laboratory, imaging, and ultrasound testing.
  • Prescribe medication.
  • Promote preventative care through vaccinations and immunizations.
  • Educate clients on positive lifestyle choices for their pets.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to support team members.
  • Maintain compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
  • Experience is preferred, but new and recent graduates will be considered.
  • Compassion and care for clients and their pets are essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed) or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate medical conditions and treatment plans clearly and empathetically.
  • Willingness to collaborate with other veterinary professionals.
  • Adherence to high ethical standards in veterinary practice.
