Are you a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon in the UK? We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to become a valuable part of our friendly and passionate team at the 24 Hour Camberwell Hospital, located in South London.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll work a 7-night on, 14-night off rota, spanning Monday to Sunday, from 7 pm to 9 am. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is passionate about emergency and critical care and excels in providing gold-standard care for both patients and clients. This role also offers the potential to pursue an ECC certificate if it aligns with your career goals.

Camberwell Hospital is a 24-Hour facility, serving as the regional provider of outstanding out-of-hours and emergency care to our clients and the surrounding veterinary branches in the network. With all our practices sharing the same software, you’ll have seamless access to your patients’ history, ensuring case continuity at all times.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Confidence in stabilizing acute medical cases, unblocking a cat, and performing caesarean sections
  • Experience with GDV cases would be advantageous
  • The ability to work confidently in sole charge, making sound clinical judgments
  • While night shift experience is desirable, it is not essential, and there is potential to study for an ECC certificate if desired.

Our facility is a bright, spacious, purpose-built hospital featuring the latest in veterinary technology, including digital and dental x-ray equipment, ultrasound, bronchoscope, endoscope, blood pressure measurement tools, ECG, a comprehensive in-house lab complete with a microscope, haematology, and biochemistry analyzers. We also have a bone kit and a full ex-lap kit, including suction and diathermy, as well as laparoscopic spay equipment and CT imaging capabilities.
