Night Veterinary Surgeon 7/14 – Sutton South London
Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a focus on emergency and critical care? Synchronised Solution, a leading healthcare recruitment agency, invites you to join a well-established hospital situated in beautiful Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be on a 7-night on, 14-night off rota, working from Monday to Sunday, between 7 pm and 9 am. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is deeply dedicated to emergency and critical care and excels in delivering gold-standard patient and client care.
Key Accountabilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating confidence in stabilizing acute medical cases, performing caesarean sections, and handling unblocking procedures for cats.
- GDV experience is a valuable bonus.
- Working confidently in a sole charge capacity and making sound clinical judgments.
- While night shift experience is desirable, it is not essential, and there is an opportunity to pursue an ECC certificate if it aligns with your career aspirations.
The Branch
This hospital is proud to be recognized as a Gold Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award recipient from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). In support of this distinction, the practice features separate waiting rooms, wards, consult rooms, and isolation areas for cats and dogs.
It is also equipped with a comprehensive dental suite, dental x-ray facilities, a full in-house laboratory featuring Idexx analyzers, endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, and rhinoscopy capabilities also offering digital x-ray and ultrasound services.
The team comprises eight skilled veterinarians, including our dedicated night team responsible for managing all out-of-hours care for the hospital and surrounding branches. The dynamic leadership is provided by two experienced Branch Partners with one of them holding a certificate in Small Animal Surgery and possessing extensive knowledge and expertise in all facets of surgery, including soft tissue and orthopedics, radiography, analgesia, and musculoskeletal disorder rehabilitation.
The other Branch Partner brings nine years of experience to the team, with particular interests in medicine, ultrasonography, and endoscopy. He is actively working towards his certificate in Internal Medicine.
The outstanding nursing/support team includes four qualified nurses, five student nurses, and dedicated receptionists who contribute to the hospital success.

The hospital is conveniently located in close proximity to London, offering direct train connections to London Victoria and London Bridge with journey times of 25-30 minutes. The Sutton 24 Hour facility is situated in a fantastic neighborhood where clients are deeply devoted to their pets, allowing us to provide comprehensive care.
