Imaging Veterinary Surgeon London

Job description: We are currently looking an experienced Imaging Veterinary Surgeon to work at a state of the art veterinary hospital in Hendon, North London. We are currently recruiting for a second imaging vet to join a fantastic team and co-manage the CT/MRI department.

The department is housed in a separate advanced imaging building in the extensive main hospital gardens. It also has an arthroscopy/spinal theatre and a kennel room. This hospital is recognised as one of the best veterinary hospitals in the United Kingdom.

You will be performing MRI and CT scans after initial clinical assessments and different diagnosis for a very varied number of cases. You should also be able to perform Ultrasound. You will be working with the latest technology and also accessing external support as there is a specialist VetCT team that can provide a full diagnostic report.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in advanced imaging as well as ultrasound and should have a certificate/PHD in imaging or already be working towards one.

The Hendon hospital has a 9 vet team, plus a dedicated Imaging RVN as well as several RVNs and patient and client care assistants. Location details: The veterinary hospital is located in Hendon. The north London suburb of Hendon is one of the best connected in the capital, with the M1, the A5, the North Circular, the A41 and the A1 all thundering through. Hendon has excellent connections to central London including the metro (Hendon Central station), regular buses and train. It is also only a 5-minute drive from the Brent Cross Shopping Centre. Middlesex University main London campus is also located in Hendon.

Salary and benefits: This is a 4 day week role in 1 in 3 half or 1 in 6 full weekends. Further to fantastic flexibility this position offers, there is on offer a very competitive salary as well as a very generous yearly accommodation allowance of £10200. A car is also provided or allowance as well as £1,500 CPD allowance with two days’ CPD leave and in-house CPD training, 5 weeks annual leave and fantastic career progression and partnership opportunities. We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
